Henan Government Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as “scholarship”) aims to encourage more foreign students to study in Henan, enlarge the scale of foreign students in Henan province, and improve the quality of foreign students in Henan province. Henan University of Economics and Law has issued regulations of Henan Government Scholarships for the purpose of better management.

Notes：For undergraduate students, graduate students，they are qualified to get the Henan Scholarship for the next year, on the condition that they pass the annual review in May of each year.
III Application deadline
Application deadline: April 28th, 2017.

IV Eligibility
1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, be in good health, and have no criminal record.
2. Abide by the laws and regulations of Chinese government, and rules and regulations of Henan University of Economics and Law.
3. Have a good attitude for learning and good academic performance.
4. The requirements for applicants’ degree and age:
●Applicants for undergraduate program must have high school diploma with good academic performance and be under the age of 30.

●Applicants for graduate program must have bachelor degree or above, or more than two-year experience after graduation from vocational college and be under the age of 40. Applicants should have passed the New HSK4 and the new HSKK(intermediate level pr above).
●Applicants for Chinese language study program and for Professional students
must have the degree above high school and be under the age of 55.

V Application Procedure

1. Contact with Henan University of Economics and Law and get the Pre-admission Letter and the application form of Henan Government Scholarship.
2. Visit http://gjc.huel.edu.cn/lxcd.htm and download and Fill in the Form for Henan Government Scholarship for Foreign Students.

3. Submit the application documents to Henan University of Economics and Law in due time.

Highest diploma or notarized photocopy (Applicants who are students or have a job must submit official document issued by your current school or unit to prove your current status).Diplomas or documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
3. Applicants for undergraduate programs must provide high school transcripts; Applicants for graduate program must provide undergraduate transcripts (Applicants whose highest degree is vocational college degree must provide vocational college transcripts or evidentiary material of more than two-year work experience);

The transcripts must be original documents or notarized copies. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
4. A Study Plan or Research Proposal (written in Chinese or English;
This should be a minimum of 400 words for undergraduate students, 600 words for graduate students.
5. Two Recommendation Letters (written in Chinese or English):
Applicants for the graduate programs must submit two recommendation letters signed by a professor or an associate professor.
6. A CD of your own works (only required for arts students):
Applicants for music studies are requested to submit a CD of their own musical works. Applicants for the fine arts programs must submit a CD of their own works which include two sketches, two color paintings and two other works.
7. Power of attorney in China Authenticated by Chinese Embassy abroad or valid documents of your legal guardians in China (only required for applicants under the age of 18)
8.Foreigner Physical Examination Form or Blood Examination Report or notarized photocopy.
9. Pre-admission Letter
10.Certificate of Non-criminal Record or notarized photocopy.
Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations
11.The copy of HSK Certificate (if available).
All documents should be bound together on top left corner in the order of.
You should submit TWO sets of bound documents.
No application documents will be returned.

VII Placement & Scholarship Confirmation
1. Ineligible or incomplete applications will not be considered.
2. After placement confirmation by Henan University of Economics and law , scholarship Recipients will receive Henan Provincial Government Scholarships to study in Henan University of Economics and law with approval by Henan Province Office of Education.
3. Henan University of Economics and law will send Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) to scholarship recipients before July 20th.
4. Scholarship will not be reserved if the scholarship recipient cannot register before the registration deadline.
